Rocker hair

With the evolution of grunge rock, now day’s people are showing off their personal style through tattoos and hair styles.  In this picture, we get an example of both together.  This is style combines edginess with punk style, it is livened up by the tattoos and the two tone hair colors blended together.  To copy this style at home, have hair cut into jagged, piecey layers throughout the head with longer layers at the nape of neck.  Wash and dry hair, apply a shine serum to bring luminosity to hair, flat iron all the layers and spray lightly and that’s it.

This is another hot ‘new’ style that has regained popularity since the 80’s are coming back again with a vengeance.  This style is all the current rage amongst teens in the US and UK, it is easy and edgy like the youth of today.  This style has come full circle with this modern version of a shag cut, there are multiple long layers cut throughout the hair and the hair is very long on style and easy to fix at home.  Wash and condition, apply root volumizer and blow-dry, while still damp roll hair onto a large round brush, spray lightly and you’re finished.

This style is a simple example of punk-chic, cutting hair into an updated version of shag; the ends are razor cut for the spikey effect.  The style is best suited for women with longer hair that is medium-medium fine in texture.  To copy this style at home is very simple.  Simply wash and apply volumizer to the roots, then dry with a blow-dryer angling hair against the direction you want it to go.  When dry add some pomade to the ends and separate with fingers for added dimension and to achieve the piecy look you are going for, you’re done.

The teen girl  is wearing an all over shag, with a bright coppery red hair color.  To copy this style, have beautician cut hair into long layers while focusing the attention to the facial features.  This style is created as much by color as it is by cut, the color showcases the skin coloring and screams youth and fun.  To style this at home, apply some root volumizer to the roots, blow dry hair on a large diameter brush in opposite direction.  When dry, run fingers through hair and spray with light hold hair spray.

This picture shows a lady with long shag cut to her hair, which is highlighted by the multi-tonal color.  The hair is razored at the ends for movement, with longer layers around the sides and an angled bang; this brings focus to the eyes and cheekbones.  To style, wrap hair around the end of a round brush and blow-dry till damp, apply styling gel or lotion to the roots and blow dry up for added volume and tease lightly at the crown.  When hair is dry, apply liquid wax or pomade to the ends and finger style into place.

Funky hairstyle for 2009

October 3rd, 2008 by admin | No Comments | Filed in Hairstyles

This hairstyle brings up thoughts of punk rock and sexiness; it works great for all ages and hair types.  The style gets its edge from the jet black color and it is set off by playing up the eyes with fun and flirty bold eye shadow colors and black eyeliner.  This style is reminiscent of Joan Jett during her hay day and it takes a strong personality to carry off this style.  Cut hair into layers, razors cut the ends toward your face, apply firm hold gel to roots and blow-dry with a large round brush. Lightly spray and spike out the top and that’s it.
